nbn Internet - QLD Unplanned Outage 13/01/2023

The unplanned outage impacting QLD-based nbn services is considered tentatively restored following the upstream carrier's field technician performing OBU and VOA SFP card replacement at the Brisbane Airport hub site last night.

QLD traffic and sessions have remained stable overnight but given the nature and extent of the issue experienced, the upstream carrier will monitor for the next 24 hours.

We have seen the recovery of the majority of services.

The upstream carrier has identified a potential issue within the Brisbane Airport hub site and is organising a field engineer to attend.

ETA to the site is 21:00 AEDT.

We are waiting for confirmation that the issue has been resolved.

The upstream carrier's field techs are being arranged to attend the impacted site.

Updates will be provided as repairs progress.

The upstream carrier's engineers have identified a potential fibre break affecting Data services in Brisbane QLD.

An investigation is currently in progress for this incident.

The next update will be provided once the further investigation has been completed and an action plan is available.
