NBN has advised they will be performing work to upgrade parts of the Fixed Wireless network at the Coffs Harbour POI (Point of Interconnect).

This work is part of volume Rollout on the Fixed Wireless network to install Small Wireless Routers (SWR) at the Fixed Wireless site. The SWR will help reduce customer impact during scheduled and unscheduled network outages because of its ability to route traffic via alternate fibre/microwave paths. In addition to this, the SWR also supports the load balancing of traffic. This planned outage is to perform the configuration and upgrade of the existing Large Wireless Router parameters in order to support the introduction of the SWR and the new network capabilities. Fixed Wireless services on the Coffs Harbour POI will experience a brief outage during the indicated outage window, no impact to other technology types is expected. Any services impacted should recover automatically once upgrade works have been completed.
